About Us

Candida albicans Phenome Database

Our goal is to provide a centralized phenotypic database populated with results of Gene Replacement and Conditional Expression (GRACE) library screens to improve data accessibility and enhance the utility of this major genomic resource.

Our Research Labs

Cowen Lab

Research in the Cowen lab focuses on diverse facets of the biology and evolution of fungal pathogens, which have a staggering impact on human health. Our goal is to address the pressing need for new antifungal drugs through an innovative and interdisciplinary approach that includes chemical genomics, functional genomics, experimental evolution, models of host-pathogen interaction, and structure-guided drug design.

Myers Lab

Recent developments in biotechnology have enabled quantitative measurement of diverse cellular phenomena. These developments have generated an unprecedented amount of data for several different organisms, promising to revolutionize our understanding of biology.

Our research focuses on machine learning approaches for integrating diverse genomic data to make inferences about biological networks. The main purpose of our work is to further our understanding of gene function and how genes or proteins interact to carry out cellular processes.
